April 15, 2022 – EasyDNA is proud to launch their Surrogacy DNA testing service, a test that determines the biological relationship between the commissioning parent/s and the baby born via surrogacy treatment.
Surrogacy is a valuable option for people who, for whatever reason, are unable to have children through traditional means. EasyDNA provides a surrogacy testing service that is 100% confidential and secure.
A client who has had a child born through surrogacy treatment can get the services of EasyDNA to attain proof of a biological relationship between them and the baby.
The Surrogacy DNA Test will ascertain if the correct embryo was implanted or if the sperm from the intended father was used in any type of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
This test is helpful in removing doubts especially in the light of cases around the world where laboratories either mix up sperm and inseminate the surrogate mother with different sperm or implant the wrong embryo.
Immigration cases might also require surrogacy DNA testing if a parent of a child born through surrogacy is an American citizen. Confirming a biological relationship in this case would allow the child to claim American citizenship. Cases like this are regulated by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) Sections 301 and/or 309.
Surrogacy cases can be very different from each other. Some clients choose traditional surrogacy, where another woman carries to full term the partial biological child of another couple. Some clients also choose gestational surrogacy, where the surrogate mother, who is not genetically related to the child, carries the baby on behalf of the commissioning parents.
