Dog Parentage Testing without The Mother
Our dog parentage test allows you to establish in a definitive manner the true parentage of your dog. We can offer the dog parentage test without the inclusion of the mother’s sample. By means of this test, dog breeders and dog owners have the first truly scientific manner of establishing the pedigree of a dog with an accuracy of 99.99%.
Testing without the mother
95% of the canine parentage cases involve the mother and we request a sample from her every time.
You will need to provide a sample from the mother if she is available please. We realize the client likely knows the biological mother however her sample is very important for identifying the sire’s DNA contribution to each pup and for the paternity results to be accurate.
If the mother’s sample is not available we can still perform the test but we will need to carry out extended testing with more DNA markers to compensate for her absence. We charge an additional R950 per tested canine do perform the additional markers to solve the case.
If you have the sample of the mother available, click here.
How is the dog parentage test carried out?
Carrying out a dog parentage test is very simple and straightforward. DNA samples are collected by means of oral swabs that are rubbed in the inside of the mouth of each dog participating in the test. Upon ordering your test, easyDNA will send you a Dog DNA sample collection kit containing all that is required to carry out your test. Thanks to our kit, you will not incur expensive veterinary fees, or draw blood sample in order to carry out your test, which might cause unnecessary stress on your dog. Once collected, the DNA samples need to be sent back to the laboratory for testing. Note that although we encourage testing of saliva using our simple kit, we do offer the possibility to test using other DNA samples such as blood or semen. Please contact us before sending any such samples to discuss any additional fees and the viability of using this sample.
